Year Graduated:

2016

I am a second year ITE student. I will be graduating this year in December 31.

I graduated from Dunman Secondary School in 2016.

I am currently studying at ITE College West, pursuing a course (Asian Culinary Arts) and I am also an entrepreneur running a website and an app with a few of my friends. I am open to the idea of exploring business opportunities with like-minded entrepreneurs out there.

In 2019, I will be preparing for National Service (NS). I believe that these educational experiences have made my life a truly enriching and meaningful one, and that the formative years in Dunman have helped me to experience success in various ways.

2007

Personally, I feel that every institution I had studied in, helped to shape who I am today, but Dunman Secondary School had a special place in my heart. As a Dunmanite, I was fortunate to have teachers who mentored us with great care throughout the years. I can still remember our vocabulary test held at the beginning of each day to strengthen our English skills and the extra classes we used to have before our O' Level exams.

While completing my secondary school studies I decided to pursue a Diploma in Computer Engineering at Temasek Polytechnic through the Direct Polytechnic Admission Scheme and managed to get a place before my O' Level results were released. Currently I am pursuing my part time Post-Graduate research at SUTD and working at Hitachi as a Technical Consultant. Using my experience and skills gained over the years, I hope to solve societal issues and hope that more Dunmanites will join me in this journey.

By being part of the DSA, I get the opportunity to give back to my school and provide mentorship to my juniors and groom them into future leaders. Lastly, I would like to share one of my favourite quotes by Mahatma Gandhi which has inspired me: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

Of all the institutions I have studied in, Dunman will always hold a special place in my heart. As a Dunmanite, the support of my teachers had allowed me to strive for academic excellence, and through the opportunities provided by the school, I was able to develop and hone my soft skills. More importantly, it was here in Dunman where I met my lifelong friends and made many precious memories to look back on.

I will always be grateful for my secondary school experience. And to give back to my alma mater, I have taken on the role of President in the Dunman Youth Alumni. Working together with like-minded peers who share a strong bond with Dunman, we established a platform for all graduated Dunmanites to continue their connection with the school and one another.

Also, with the knowledge and skills that I have acquired in Dunman, I was able to pursue my choice of higher education and have recently graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Earth Systems Science. I am currently working at the Nature Society (Singapore) as a Project Officer, to bring nature education to the younger generation and to do my part in transforming Singapore's society into one that is knowledgeable about and cares for nature.
