Infocomm Club

Dunman Infocomm Club (DICC) strives to enrich the IT programming skills of its members through a progression of training, courses and competitions. We focus on two areas of programming  development – Robotics and Coding. DICC has its own MacLab for Coding training, which is  equipped with state of the art iMacs.

DICC participated in numerous competitions throughout the year such as the annual ITE Inter-School  Robotics Challenge, i.Code Competition and Singapore Games Creation Competition. These competitions aimed to heighten IT awareness; encourage creativity and innovation in IT. Through  these competitions, there were valuable coaching opportunities amongst the students, teachers and  the trainers. Our students developed stronger team spirit and forge comradeship as they come together to interact, problem solve, collaborate and apply their IT skills to be creators of technology.

DICC did their part for the community as well through collaboration with North East Community Development Council to organise the North East Elder-surf Inter-gen Boot-camp in 2014 and 2016. Through this boot-camp, our members were given the opportunity to help seniors (aged 50 years and above) overcome their phobia to learn IT skills and thus fostering inter-generation bonds.

We believe in bonding amongst members. This is important as most training is carried out in teams, so members need to be good team members.
