Direct School Admission (For 2025 Intake)
Have a special talent or ability in sports, aesthetics, leadership and STEM? We welcome all interested primary 6 students to participate in the Direct School Admission (DSA) exercise for the academic year 2025 into Dunman Secondary School.
Parents and students are encouraged to choose wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the school’s academic and non-academic equirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.
Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from year 1 - 5.
Selection Considerations
a) Past years CCA track records (no submission of document is needed).
b) Shortlisted applicants will be informed by the school on the date and time of trial/audition and interview. Shortlisting criteria:
Sports and Games
To meet at least one of the following criteria:
i) Participated in any sports CCA in their primary school.
ii) Any regular involvement in sport and games activities outside school.
Performing Arts
To meet at least one of the following criteria:
i) Participated in any Performing Arts CCA in their primary school.
ii) Regular involvement in Performing Arts programme outside school.
Leadership
To meet all of the following criteria:
i) Must have held a school based leadership position.
ii) Contribute actively in school and/or community events.
ii) Exemplary conduct
STEM
To meet at least one of the following criteria:
i) Participated in any STEM-related CCA in their primary school
ii) Involvement in STEM-related programmes outside school
c) You may submit any supporting document to the relevant teacher-in-charge through the email listed below (Optional).
*Please note that meeting all criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted.
Registration
Please submit your registration for the school’s consideration between the periods 7 May (11am) to 3 Jun (3pm) 2024 through the DSA-Sec online portal.
