Green Club

Introduction

Green Club organises fun and meaningful activities related to plants and landscaping for our students so as to cultivate love for plants and the environment, appreciation for aesthetics and equip students with skills to be proficient Green Ambassadors to conduct guided tour for visitors to the school. Through involvement in green-related activities, we hope to make significant impact on the school environment and contribute to the community. We organised workshops on Terrarium, Using Organic Fertilizers and Making a Rain Garden.

In 2013, Green Club participated in Tampines Goes Green. In 2012, our students also participated in Singapore Garden Festival Gardeners’ Cup , Community In Bloom Competition, All About Rice Competition, Show and Tell Booth at Suntec and CIP at My First Skool. In 2011, we participated in CIB Roadshow (National Healthy Lifestyle Campaign) held at Sengkang Community Club and Tampines Town Council Garden Design Competition.

The club members learn useful tips on planting, weeding, watering, use of fertilizers, pest control and landscape design during our weekly activities.
